비룡산은 경상북도 봉화군 석포면과 소천면을 경계하는 해발 1,129m의 비교적 완만한 산으로 음지와 계곡에는 굴참나무, 신갈나무, 단풍나무 등이 군락을 이루고 능선부와 양지쪽으로는 이 지역의 유명한 자생수종인 춘양목이 위용을 자량한다. 송이버섯이 많이 나며 싸리나무 관목이 하층을 이루어 밀원자원이 풍부하다. 숲이 깊어 담비, 가막딱따구리, 오소리 등 야생동물이 많이 살고 불영계곡까지 이어지는 맑은 물엔 산천어가 서식하고 있다.

Extending into the boundaries of Seokpo-myeon, Socheon-myeon, Bonghwa-gun in the Gyeongbuk-do , (Mt.)Biryongsan with the elevation of 1,129m is mildly inclined. There are communities of Oriental oak, Mongolian oak, maple in the shaded places and valleys, and along the ridges and sunny places communities of the well known, native species of Korean Red pine boast the beautiful shape. The large amount of pine mushroom is produced and honey resources including community of Bush clover in the understory are rich in this mountain. The various wildlife including Martes flavigulamaritus, Drycopus , Korean bedger inhabits in abundance and Onchorhynchus masou exist in the clear streams streching into the valley of Pulyoungkyegok.
